new trade idea :)

what about a cool piccy trade?

a favorite photo, a child's crayon drawing, a note pad sketch while waiting on the phone... something fun and simple to stick on the old frig for awhile, and its only 39 cents to mail....

to make it personal, maybe include a note why you sent that particular piccy to someone - maybe you send a child's crayon drawing to a tradee who doesnt see her grandchildren often, or a picture of the ocean to someone who is landlocked... a notepad sketch of a house to someone who is looking for their first home....

read about your trade partner, email a few times about silly things, and see what happens....

let me know what you guys think, and ill organize it.

feed back welcomed and appreciated... i know the holidays are coming, but i thought a simple trade would be fun amongst the madness!

    This is an interesting idea an a way to be creative in a different way. I presume it can be a pic of something out of a mag or even something we have taken. Sounds fun to me I just have a tendacy to draw a blank at times but think I would enjoy this. I can't draw so would have to go to a different form of pic. coure could try drawing and hope my partner could figure it out. humm that deffinately could be interesting.

      we could make it a little more creative by emellishing or altering the photo or magazine photo (painting, stickers etc)

      i thought it would be fun to combine the tiny precious and card trade (from vixens) and just do one simple fun picture for someone....

      as far as not being able to draw, it doesnt necessarily have to be a picture, abstract is okay! its more about having fun!

            I think that's a nifty idea.

            Might I just make one comment? Please be sure you are up for a trade. We have had a lot of non-senders recently and it's frustrating for both the trade partner and the mod. If something comes up and you have to be very late or can't follow-through, please contact the mod ASAP. Crafty trades will only work if traders are honest about what they can accomplish and follow-through on sending out their items.

            Okay, now get crafty with your bad selves!

              Still have a Dec. 7th deadline yes?
              Will be able to focus tomorrow - have a big client deadline today, so really should not even be online :-)
              But the ideas have been percolating and the plan is set - a simple concept is in the works!

                Got a question know this is supposed to fit in an envelope does it mattetr the size of the envelope? I don't think mine will get out before the 7th but maybe.

                  i think i originally said the 7th but the 8th or so is ok. its more that its a fast trade....

                  Mine came Monday. Sorry Kerri I didn't get to this sooner Have been very busy at work. Kerri sent me a lovely picture of a lake nestled in the mountains in Washington. You did good Kerri, I moved here 29 years ago from Oregon. Lived in the valley in the mountains. I will never forget the day I was driving away crying believing that I would never see the mountains again. She also sent a snowflake and how appropriate is that since at the time I was working on the trade we got a foot of snow. Which by the way is ALL gone and the temps are back in the 60's again.

      This was my first trad like this so in truth didn't know what to do. It was fun trying to come up with something to fit your interests.

      Printing those magnets turned out to be more if a challenge than I thought the first went well but the second didn't want to go thru the printer. May not try any of those again.
