Re: DONE
Wed, October 11, 2006 - 7:51 AMEvelyn I am so glad that you like them. Was worried that they wouldn't make it in one piece. -
-
Re: DONE
Wed, October 11, 2006 - 8:08 AMnot a chip nor crack to be seen... not only do i love them but you've started me on a new collection... trinket boxes... my neice got me one for christmas last year... it is a ceramic heart painted like black marble with a black and ivory cameo in it... so now that i have a few trinket boxes i shall start a collection... the way the victorians collected snuff boxes...
so i now have two new items for my collecting habits... yay! -

Re: DONE
Wed, October 11, 2006 - 8:12 AMGreat, you have started my day off much better now. I need to find something to collect, used to collect old wash boards now I have a bunch of them that are all different and no place to put them. I need something small to collect. -

Re: DONE
Wed, October 11, 2006 - 7:22 PMwhispers
acorns
buttons
rice grains and write the gettyburg address on them
hahahahaha -

Re: DONE
Wed, October 11, 2006 - 7:49 PMOk Thimbles might work I do have a set of Avon thimbles that were made years ago that I stupidly paid 100.00 for. The are cool and very hard to find and have Mrs Albee's in different dress. (Mrs Albee was the first Avon Rep that went door to door)
Buttons also would be a cool thing to collect. Some old ones are very neat.
Rice? Gettyburg address on them, hah cute.
Small things to collect is much smarter than all the washboards I now have.

Re: DONE
Wed, October 11, 2006 - 9:21 PMPatty, why not hang the washboards on a wall? at various angles, say in a washroom or back porch or hallway? Or start a really big jug band. -
-
Re: DONE
Thu, October 12, 2006 - 5:49 AMLike the jug band idea. Actually I was collecting then to put in the utility room as you suggested. But I started selling Loganburger baskets and ended up putting a shelf high in the utility room to display some of the baskets. No room for the washboards. Maybe in the old house when we get it finished and I will do something different with the baskets. -

Re: DONE
Thu, October 12, 2006 - 10:07 AMor along a set of stairs on the wall, from basement on up?
or course such things can really collect dust, it may be freeing to get them along to their new owners. I like your idea of a smaller collection. Plus it sounds like th baskets are sort of a 'moving' collection. -

Re: DONE
Thu, October 12, 2006 - 12:36 PMi love buttons :) silly idea but you could put the washboards on the ceiling! :)
