  • me too, it's a whole different experience...I rebelled against the materials at first. Even broke one part of it in my 'creative inquiry' process....oops.

Still, I like where my idea is going. Just trying to find the peace of mind and time to make it happen.
  • I got my package today! Woo hoo! Satya rocks! I got a really fun bag/tote with pockets outside and in. I'm already imaging what I'll be toting in when I go on vacation in June. She also made me a gorgeous table runner. Excellent stuff, put together beautifully.
Now I hope I can do her justice...
  • Anne of cyber Gables your prize is in the mail
    woo hoo
    You are gonna love it!

    la la la

    This is a fun trade!
    • Awesome! Yours is going out tomorrow if all goes well (fingers crossed!).

How is everyone else doing? Don't worry if you're a bit behind, just remember "better late than never!" If a true crafting disaster has struck, please let me know.
      • I believe I should be able to finish up tonight and mail tomorrow. Fang, my son says they are cool, so I will trust his judgement. Hope you like them!!
        • I still have that image of Dr. Suess type mucklucks up to my knees with fringe, bells and plastic animals hanging off them. But I am sure I will not be dissapointed!

What could they be? socks? mittens? two pencil holders? his and hers salt and pepper shakers? lawn gnomes? fuzzy dice? I can't wait!!!!!!!!
  • Okay, I think I now have my emtions under control.

I sent my trade partner, artiste extrondinaire, Fang, a freebie drug clock and some fabric and some iron on adhesives.

She sent me back the neatest clock. She used my fabric and then she downloaded pictures from my profile of my pets and my so and my craft work and used a picture for the numbers. I cried. Fang doesn't know it but one of my cats, Roscoe (5:00) has passed away in the past few days. Plus having the pics of my son. It is so personal and so special. Thank you so much. I am so lucky to have had you for a trade partner twice in a row now!!!
    • Hooray! I'm so glad your trade went well Peggy!

      Photos! I demand photos!

P.S. That was an overdose of exclamation points.
P.P.S. I'm already working on an idea for the next trade.
  • This is insane. The nesting bowls that Peggy made for me, with crochet on the outside and edges, and fabric inside, and lovely sewing accents, and and and SOOOOOOOOOOOO soft and fuzzy on the edges, almost alive....

I tribe mailed her this huge long list of comments and questions of awe and inspiration. I have never owned anything this nice I don't think. I told her they look as if they were stolen from some high class gallery. I am going to photograph them in natural daylight -- so sorry to make you wait, but I am exhausted anyhow. Will post the photos tomorrow if all goes well.

She couldn't have nailed my colors and textures anymore on the head. Peggy I forgot to mention I used to make batique wall hangings and clothing, so those fabrics are quite special to me.

I am feeling so amazed. I keep picturing these in my new home, if all goes well and we get the place we're working toward getting.... I know right where these will go.

Thank you so from my heart, Peggy. Thank you.
    • Darn you fang, you made me cry again. So glad you liked them. I have pics, will post one now to my blog I made about my dream of crocheting bowls made out of work projects, it has a kitten in it.
      • I may have gone a little overboard posting photos of the two bowls, but I thought many people may like to see how they are constructed. The bowls are sort of like reverse observations on each other -- the larger one is crochet on the inside and fabric on the outside, while the smaller is reversed. They are so great.

When you look at the clock pics next to the bowl pics, you can see Peggy and I were well matched.

I can't wait to see more trade gifts! more more more! post em!
  • I returned home to find a box...
I opened it to find a box...
It was a bright colorful box, with feathers...
I opend it it to find MAGIC!!!!
I gasped when I opened it!

It was half fuzzy glittery balls of all brigth colors glued into a colorful bakcgorund adn the other half with white painted patten with gems strategically placed

It is Pandora's box, and it's open ;)

    Love it Anne!
    Perfect for me
    Very fun
    Thank you
  • I just posted the pics of the stuff I made for Satya, the post office claimed it be there by Wed. so Satya if you haven't got the box yet, don't peek at the pics!
    • I got my stuff Barbara! Thank you so much for the lovely bag and the cutest little velvet bird ever! I've been on vacation, so it has probably been there a while. You did a great job with the velvet I sent. I love trades!
      • I would like to heartily congratulate all you awesome traders. Every single person sent and received their items. That's a first!

        You vixens are fabulous!
      • Satya, so glad you got it. I figured you were still on vacation, but I had a little pebble of worry that the post office crushed it all into shredded ball. Glad it made it safe and sound.
