I don't know that I can commit yet, but I'm starting the conversation... ha ha ha ! You know I'll get sucked in.
Anyone up for a leftovers trade? I actually have a pic I recently took of some stuff I'm cleaning out of my studio...
Nothing too exciting but has some potential....
Any other ideas we've been burning to try?

Re: next trade?
Tue, January 8, 2008 - 6:47 AMI'm probably in, but have no ideas this time for a trade. I do have lots of leftover felt from the last trade and could make more little fairies, so a leftover trade would work for me. I don't want to moderate this one, though. Fang? -

Re: next trade?
Wed, January 9, 2008 - 12:44 PMI was going to offer to moderate one of the last few, but someone beat me to it each time.
I am so overwhelmed right now...I've got a bit of cold feet.
Not even sure I'll do the trade...honestly!
Any other takers?

Re: next trade?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 6:09 PMWell, now that we have outgoing new meat maybe we should restart this thread. I am willing to moderate a trade, but I don't have any real ideas about what we want to do.
Ms. Smart, you are always full of ideas. I hear Fang asking for a leftovers trade, I was thinking what if we did a leftovers trade but with our own leftovers, with a rule that nobody is allowed to buy anything for the thing they make. I think we all have bins and boxes and shelves and drawers full of stuff that has potential, with just the right person to make it for. What does everybody think? -

Re: next trade?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 7:36 PMI love the idea Peggy. I have lots of leftovers in fabric, yarns, thread, glass ect that would leave the door open for using and making whatever strikes our fancy! -

Re: next trade?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 7:37 PMWell, I know it is always very hard for me to not buy something when I do a trade, this might force me to clean out my bead boxes, who knows?

Re: next trade?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 8:34 PMI like the leftover idea! Maybe we can combine it with one of Ms Smart's ideas. I like the How I See You, Magic Wish and Eight themes. I like the flower trade for spring. I'll pass on the ham, thanks! -

Re: next trade?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 8:43 PMI love you Ms. Smart for suggesting the ham trade.
Dang the thing that usually happens is happening....
I WANT to be a part of the fun....
But I am way behind on starting my 13 collages for the International Collage Exchange I do every year! Plus other trades and stuff I promised to get ready and bring to a local gallery.... my etsy shop.... all that stuff I want to get going! -

Re: next trade?
Fri, January 18, 2008 - 4:28 PMThrow in an extra collage, Fang! What's one more?! -

Re: next trade?
Tue, January 22, 2008 - 8:05 AMOH I see. Well.... it could be considered....
yikes. 13. My hands have been hurting for days just thinking about it.
I don't want to work small anymore. I am thinking of measuring out one giant piece of canvas, working on that, and then cutting it up into the 13 smaller collages. That could be fun. But do I have space to do it? nooooo...... -

Re: next trade?
Tue, January 22, 2008 - 7:29 PMstick on it the wall and use a step ladder... -
-
Re: next trade?
Wed, January 23, 2008 - 10:39 PM1. have to get a stepladder, may have to borrow a truck to get one tall enough to get in the attic and change the battries in the smoke detectors which we need to do anyway.
2. find some wall space which is accessible
3. find a place to put everything else that was in the way
4. figure out how to put something over the freshly painted wall to protect it with as few holes as possible, something like a bulletin board I could then mount the enormous thing on to.
hmmmmm
sounds like too much work.
I SO need an art studio. The apartment we chose to live in is way too nice.
