This trade is about cleaning out your craft closet and using up those leftovers or materials that never quite came to fruition. Bring out the leftovers and make them into something beautiful.
But here's the catch . . . they won't be your leftovers . . . they will be another vixen's.
1. Message me (Anne) with your intent to participate, mailing address, AND email address by April 14. In addition, please include the basics of what you'll be sending out (ex: yarn, felt, and googley eyes) and your crafting skills (knitting, beading, and paper crafts). I won't spoil the surprise, but I do want to make sure people can work with what they get. Whenever possible, I will pair up vixens so they are trading supplies and completed items with each other.
2. On April 17, receive an address and Tribe name (and profile link) of the person to which you are sending your leftovers.
3. Ship out your supplies. I'm not making any rules about what they might be, but please be considerate. The items should be clean and in good shape. Some examples: paper scraps, photographs, fabric, yarn, beads, trims, buttons, clothing items, stamps, small wooden items, shells, glitter, paint, corks, fake/dried flowers, found objects, craft kits, etc.
***Make sure to include any relevant info about the items as well as your mailing and email address.***
3. Create something fabulous with the treasures you receive.
4. Your additional materials should cost between $0-10.00.
5. Ship the completed project by May 8.
6. Wait for your little lump of crafty leftover goodness to arrive.
Any questions? Message me.

This idea fills me with anxiety, as mostly I have fabric, and if I give it to some one to make something out of, some one else may die with the most and then I will not win!!!!
LOL -
-
I saw a bumper sticker that said "she who died withe the most fabric DIED, I'm on my way to the estate sale!"

I was hoping we might actually be able to match vixens in pairs and they would work on each other's leftovers and then swap. If everyone's skills and supplies work out. Otherwise, it might be more like the last trade where you work on materials from one vixen and receive a finished product from another. We'll see how the sign-ups go.

I am going to participate this time, too. Just have to go home and sort through to find what I am going to send!
-
how feasable is it to take part if I'm in the UK - I feel like a lost little thing stuck in the corner (no wait, that's my leftover box!)
-
-
"Nobody puts Ness in the corner!" Sorry, gratuitous Dirty Dancing reference.
I'd say it's very feasible. The only issue is the extra shipping cost and time. Domestic shipping for a 5 lb package is $5-10, to the UK is more like $30. Your trade partner would be paying an extra $20. I'm sure we could figure something out. Perhaps you could try for lighter items like paper or yarn crafts? I don't know what kind of leftovers you were thinking (the anvil decorating kit would probably not be the best choice). Also, both you and your trade partner would need to be a bit more conscious of deadlines and shipping times.
What do you other vixens think? -
-
Sure, we could work something out. Maybe the other vixens could all donate a dollar or two, send it to the trader/tradee to help with the shipping? I couldn't afford it by myself for a trade, but with help? We don't want you feeling all alone.
(Anne, loved the Baby reference. Got it right away).

Oh? Anne, are we doing the same thing this time, in which we get our own stuff back as finished projects? Or, are we going to send our finished project to a third vixen? I was confused last time, as I didn't realize I was getting my own stuff back (I loved it though!) but either way would work. What do you other craft-zons think?
-
-
I'll make do with whatever I'm sent to work with. I do think it would be nice to know who I'm making it for. If I am sent back something made from the leftovers I send out, that's not so bad because they're pretty nice leftovers!

Don't worry fang! You'll get plenty of info. I'll be sending out the names, tribe profile link, email, and address for your trade partner. I think the tribe profile link is especially helpful because you can check out your partner's interests and style. Plus, if you have any questions about sizes or other considerations, you can just email.

Hi there Fang said that I should try to get in on this trade, she thought you might need an extra body. Am I too late? This sounds like fun and I know I have lots o' leftovers. I could almost cater to someone's specific talent. I have emboidery floss, fabric, paper, beads and more! I need to poke around in the shed, but just from memory I've got stuff. Let me know if I can still get in on this.
Thanks! -

Barbara, I'm messaging you with more info. Rock on!

sorry I missed the deadline Anne - I'll work out something for the next trade. One of the 'swaps' I'm taking part in include us 'foreigners' but we pay the final shipping directly to the person who sends it out by paypal.
Maybe I can do some research and put something together for future foreigners.
Have fun this time around traders - I'm busy training for a 56mile bicycle race and I've not been on one for over 10 years so it's outdoor time for me.
Hugs (and I'm loving the Dirty Dancing thang) -
-
Go Ness! Good luck with your race! Keep an eye out for a new swap in the next month or two.
P.S. "God wouldn't have given you maracas if He didn't want you to shake 'em. " -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.Has everyone sent out their leftovers? The sooner you get them out, the sooner your partner can get cracking. As always, if there are any hiccups, lemme know.
